I LOVE finding out people’s morning routines! And I love that you're it from the perspective of a working mom. I'm a full time teacher and a mom (and maybe now a Substacker?) and my morning routines look nothing like what trends (or maybe not now that you're sharing this series!). For example, there is no "sky before screens" for me because that's my precious time to write everything for here! Thank you! This was so nice to read.
Omg this just brought me so much joy! And the cutting board, lunch station!!? Genius. I have a much less aspirational but still damn good routine if u ever want a guest writer! Im a mom of 6 & 8 year old, cram a lot in basically 90 minutes! Workout, supplements, 3 seconds of skincare etc
I love eyeing other people's routines in GENERAL! Morning, evening, give me all the details!! I've also been considering the Armra supplement. What is your experience on it? Would love to have a non-influencer take!
Yay I’m not alone! I do think the Armra has been helping my hair and have 2 other (non-influencer) friends who also swear by it. For awhile my FSA reimbursed me for it which cut down on cost. Also I am very into all things fitness/health/pilates, just subscribed!
Been loving all your posts! I have a very similar routine but mine is more like workout - supplements - get ready - kid chaos then drop one kid off and the walk the other with my husband (2.26 mile round trip) and we use the time to strategize life and we own business together so discuss work on way back. But once both my girls go to same school next year maybe I should start a parent run / walk club ! That’s such fun idea. I live in San Jose and used to live in SF. Maybe there should be a whatever she is doing meetup ; )
The strategy session/walk sounds so great, probably very important to have that dedicated time! Two kids at the same school has truly changed my life, next year you will be on cloud nine (and the run club just launched last year, happy to side bar with you about it). A WSD meetup … I would love that!
This is fascinating. You’re very disciplined! We wake up at 6.30am to also walk to school by 8am and I am back at my desk by 9am after a walk & a podcast so I get most of my 10k steps done. But I couldn’t do a workout before the kids are up or take so many vitamins on an empty stomach or achieve any chores or admin of any kind at this time of the day. It’s more: coffee, walk, try to keep everyone at peace and make it to school on time. Let alone makeup! It’s just micellar water, moisturiser + SPF and then sunglasses & a baseball cap. ❤️
Getting most of 10k steps done that early, I bow down! 👏 This is just what works for me, zero expectation for anyone else to do the same. We’re all on our own mom journeys ✨
Ok I’m totally here for this level of detail, I am also fascinated by how other people get it done (literally inspired the name of my Substack!) why does it always end up being a total mad rush in the mornings no matter how smoothly things seem to be going?! Looking forward to hearing more about your hair growth journey, the postpartum hair loss is still real four years on!
thank you so much for sharing your morning routine. i love a morning routine!!! i don’t get bored of them…ever!! 😅
i noticed that you said you had a decaf coffee, have you given up regular coffee out of interest? it’s something i’ve been toying with doing…
and a big yes to the Weleda Skin food and Azelaic Acid!! i’m 41 and these two products are really helping with my dry skin and rosacea- the joys of getting older, hey!!!
loved the section after your kids woke up too, very relatable before the chaos of the school run- thanks again for sharing! ♥️
Jo thank you for reading! So happy to hear I’m not the only one still obsessing over morning routines.
I’m also totally on the dry skin/rosacea/and still some breakouts at 40 train (siiigh), I do think those products are helping!
I only drink decaf. I drank 1-2 cups of regular coffee every day for about a decade (even during my pregnancies), but when I was postpartum I got pretty severe insomnia and decided to fully cut it out. Now, I don’t miss it, and even one cup gives me low-grade anxiety. I will say it took awhile to wean off (like a true addict), I recommend going to ¾ cup, then ½ cup, then ¼ cup to avoid headaches!
oh no worries Sarah!! i think i might give the decaf thing a go you know…maybe go all in on January 1st but whittle the coffee down over the next few months so its not too much of a shock to my system!! thanks for inspiring me!! ✨
I’m on maternity leave for a few more months and I’m dreading going back to work. You do allllll this before 9am. Woah. Mama. You are a superhero. And you’re stunning. I love these products. Thank you. Soooo now I need to train myself to wake up at 5:30am. Phwoar!
Fiona you are the sweetest, and rest assured I was definitely not doing this until my kids were sleeping during the night. On maternity leave I was just trying to make it through the morning without a meltdown, and without putting baby formula in my coffee (which happened once). Also love your content, it’s motivating me to keep up my workouts!
I love a morning routine post!! I am a working mom (but still with a commute) and am out the door between 7 - 7:30 with two elementary kids too! I have been walking in the morning for a quick mile on the garage treadmill, but really want to start trading in some strength training. Love following your day!

Would love to hear your routine! 90 minutes 👏👏👏 it’s truly all about efficiency at this stage!

Okay! Might give it a try, have been so lured into it but never know who to trust 🙃

Totally! I am just in awe of your morning motivation — not a skill I possess 😅 but then I am more of an evening person…

Connie I feel you, literally no matter WHAT I do the mornings are always a mad dash. YES hair growth updates are coming, postpartum took its toll!
Wow, that is a lot! Go you!
you get so much more done in the morning than i do! i am so impressed
It's mostly because I'm comatose by 8:15pm so nothing can get done at night!
I love a morning routine!! That red light hat seems very intriguing!
I’m not positive it’s doing anything but it might be…?
