I loved loved loved your list at the end. Also in the middle of major career pivot & I am not ashamed to say that my main job currently is being a mama, the second one is brand consultant. These precious years are short and whilst I could never not “work” (financially, but also, for my own sanity) I think it’s about readdressing the priorities in your life for this new chapter. ❤️

Alize I feel like we are on parallel paths! I’ve been spending so much more time with my kids whichi s amazing…but also must work for sanity/purpose/$$$. Would love to do a virtual coffee sometime!

Sarah, I love the list written for October 2027 and will definitely do the same! I have recently also "given up" my management position, which from the outset looked like such a cooool job. And frankly it was. I loved it. Then I realized, I have had the career and I don't want to live my life sitting on a chair staring at a blue-light rectangle 60hrs a week. I just don't'! You only regret the things you don't do, is a motto I swear by. Money is not everything. I'm sure there are so many good things out there for you!

Loved reading it! Good luck with everything! Rushing throughout the day just to do it all over again the next day is exactly how I’d describe my life right now! That’s why I haven’t set any dream job goal yet. I am doing it because I still have a lot to learn and so I’m trying to have fun as I go!

I love all the manifesting!! And you sound so similar to me, the only difference is I haven’t actually formed the courage to leave the job yet. Wishing you all the good vibes and successes! Will be following along here!

Omg, I loooved reading this Sarah!! 40 is CERTAINLY not old holy cow, but I completely understand where you’re coming from and admire you so much for this. I feel like I saw this tension and lack of creativity all the time when I was in corporate. I used to say that it felt like my bosses either “hated their kids or hated the work” (and ofc I don’t mean they actually hated either!!), but there was this constant complaining and pull between the two, and TBH I don’t think they were particularly happy in either. This was definitely something I thought a lot about when considering going back to corporate vs. building something for myself. Also, I LOVE the Oct 2027 verbal vision board (you’re inspiring me) and love even more that you’re sharing it publicly. So excited for you!!!

I like your perspective, how it’s not corporate that’s the problem rather your relationship to it has changed. And I also can’t nap :)

Thank you Michaela! 🫶 the no napping is a blessing and a curse.

We’re on a similar path friend, I’m a strategist and recently started my own solo practice and taking on projects and clients and it’s the best thing I ever did.

Reach out anytime you have a question about QuickBooks, SoWs or want to bounce an idea off me. Sometimes doing things together, separately is the best thing!

Wow, you are brave to share your own year out goals! Happy to follow and cheer you along and congratulations on starting your next chapter. I'm now 6 months out from my corporate role and still catch myself rushing through my morning before I remind myself that I don't have back-to-back meetings starting at 8AM anymore. I hope you meet your ambitious goals!

I loved reading this! It was *so* inspiring! And I related to pretty much all of it (especially the rushing and no sunlight parts!). I also just turned 40 and I pretty much could have been reading a diary entry I wrote myself. And I just love that you went for it. Okay, going to go write a verbal vision board now... Can't wait to see this year unfold for you.
